South Carolina chicken farmer C.W. Brunson, 40, lost 5,000 broiler chickens last month due the extreme heat and drought on his farm in Alcolu, S.C. Brunson has two chicken house on his farm with over 44,000 chicken in the two houses. A cool mist spray runs constantly in an effort to keep the chickens cool.
