would have possible placed in General News....did not like large photo on
the jump page...it almost hurt the entry
2nd: John D. Simmons, Charlotte Observer, ³Doing the Loop², A tighter edit
would have elevated this entry...too many similar passenger shots.
3rd: Tracy Wilcox, Fayetteville Observer, ³The Packing Place² Would have liked
to have seen one of the graphic detail shots played larger to give a better
feel to the layout.
Sports:

composition and ³the eye² made this entry stand out from the competition.

this so-so jubilation in a category that wasn¹t as strong as expected.

would have elevated this entry

using light decent reproduction for a tough-to-reproduce image...bet it
makes a sweet print.

captured with excellent composition and depth of field.

did excellent job of seeing and anticipating; nice camera angle.
