Periodical check-ups at Brenner Children's Hosptial in Winston-Salem are a fact of life for Josh. During one of the check-ups, Pam kisses Josh before leaving him alone in the room to undergo a full-body CT scan. Josh is accustomed to the procedures and usually sleeps during them. Josh's progress has been so good that the tests now consist of only chest x-rays.
