ADOPT.JOUR.051901.SAS -- Sheila Callaham coaxes her son, Sergei, 6, to swim to her during one of their weekly trips to the A. E. Finley YMCA in North Raleigh. Callaham wants both of the twins to feel comfortable in the water, so she brings them to the pool each weekend to practice. Swimmimg was one of the things they dreamed of doing when they lived in the orphanage in Kazakhstan .
