J. R. Flowers, a firefighter with West Side Fire Department, runs out of the house and into the yard before handing off a child from inside the burning home to emergency personnel--Two children are confirmed to be dead after a fire Wednesday morning May 2, 2001 at a mobile home south of Asheboro. Randolph County 911 confirmed there was a fatality. The Randolph County Sheriff's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation were on the scene investigating the blaze. The fire at 1818 Manorview Drive in the Ulah community was reported to Randolph County 911 at 11:36 a.m., with the caller saying a child was in the residence. James Parker
