A U.S. Marine rescue helicopter from Marine Coprs Air Station, Cherry Point pulls L.A. Taybron to safety after Taybron, James Howell and John Tomaszeski were stranded in the Tar River. Their homemade raft became stuck after the men intentionally went over the dam at Rocky Mount Mills. The trio was treated and released at Nash General Hospital, police said.
