David and Patricia Bean sit in the chapel at the North Carolina Jaycees Burn Center in Chapel Hill where their duaghter, Sherry, is undergoing treatment after being beaten and burned. They often receive news of her progress in the chapel. The Beans have relied on their faith to carry them through. "If it wasn't for the grace of God, and UNC hospital," says David, "she wouldn't be here today."
