Jean Chapin, 56, left, suffered a major stroke on Oct. 22, 2003 and was unable to move the left side of her body. After weeks of rehabilitation at Durham Regional Hospital, she was able to move much of her right side and was even able to walk. Here she walks with the help of her primary physical therapist, Kristin Tell, 33, not long before Chapin's release from the hospital. "I'm thankful to be able to walk and move my arm again," said a glowing Chapin. "It feels so good to walk - it feels wonderful." On hearing this, Tell said, "I'm thankful I get a chance to see things like this."
