A Gregory elementary school student watches the scene unfold outside her school bus, which was briefly evacuated on Kidder Street Friday afternoon. The bus driver reported seeing a man with a gun on Kidder Street. At the same time another unrelated man, who police described as mentally unstable, ran from 708 Kidder Street and boarded the bus. The driver evacuated the children to a nearby house. Police took the mentally unstable man into custody and then the children were allowed back onto the bus. Police did not locate the alleged man with a gun who was the reason for the original call.
