Jimmy Anderson , known to most as Uncle Jimmy gets involved in a conversation with a customer at D.Q. Smith & Son . Many of the regular customers to the country store come in as much for conversation, as they do for items that the store sells. Mr. Anderson worked at the store in the 1960's , left to open his own store that he ran for over 20 years, now he came back to work for Joann Rooks . The store located three miles south of Wallace in Pender County, has been in the same family for 81 years and is currently run by Joann Rooks .
