09/25/01: Mac Alavi, owner of the Charlotte Auction Gallery, surveys damage at his South Tryon Street warehouse Tuesday. An Iranian American who has been in this country since 1978, Alavi hadn't had any problems before this act of vandalism at the warehouse, which houses Persian rugs and other items. The FBI and olther agencies were called in to investigate.
