9/18/2001 With the morning sun streaming in from overhead, Adrian Crutchfield (cq) plays "The Star-Spangled Banner" on his soprano saxophone at the First Union Atrium in uptown Charlotte Tuesday. The sixteen year old Northwest School of the Arts student was one of many performing The National Anthem during an open audition in hopes of performing during this season's Hornets and Checkers games.
