As a passerby looks through a broken window, a father reads from the bible to his dead son Oscar, after his heart failed in Leon, Nicaragua on September 22, 2000. Oscar had been examined hours earlier by a medical mission team from the Durham area, who said that it was too late for anything to be done. Oscar's heart condition would not have occurred in the US said Duke Cardiologist Rene Herlong. "He would have a heart transplant in the United States."
