SIMMONS Caption: 1/21/05: Carrie Lamb, a groomer at Bark Street Dog Spa, cuddles with Violetgirl a 7.5-week-old standard poodle pup brought to the spa by owner/breeder Betty Drea (CQ Drea) for grooming. Why is she named Violetgirl? Because she doesn't have a real name yet and so that Drea can tell her apart from her litter mates before she's sold to her future family. The large green banner seen by Park Road drivers says " Self-Service Dog Wash". The Bark Street Dog Spa, at 3930 Park Road, sits around back of a cleaners and shares a building with a veterinary office and a manicurist salon. Bark Street opened about a year and a half ago and gives dog owners a place to bring their pooch to wash and groom it. (JOHN D. SIMMONS/STAFF)
