File Name: 3rdSpotJAN05 Author: Ted Richardson Caption: Journal photo by Ted Richardson: 1/19/2005 Kathy Burnsed rushes past her flaming storage shed with "Rascal", who was tied to a tree dangerously close to the shed when it caught fire late Wednesday afternoon in Hamptonville. Burnsed said she had put coals in a BBQ pit adjacent to the shed after cleaning her chimney at 3724 Westwood Rd. off of NC Hwy 21. She said she thought a spark from those coals probably started the fire. "I just thank God nobody was hurt," she said, adding that two people were asleep in her rental home just a few yards away. Burnsed said she lost several antiques, her Christmas decorations, hunting and fishing gear and could not find her cat immediately after the fire.
